The MathML in the DLMF displays just fine in Internet Explorer when you install MathPlayer (www.dessci.com/mathplayer). In fact, it allows the reader to cut and paste the math into other applications, such as Maple, Mathematica, MS Word, MathType, and many others. It also makes the math accessible to readers with disabilities via popular screen readers.
